How to fix an auto windshield washer problem?

I have a Ford Freestyle. Wiper blades work fine. There is plenty of fluid in tank. When I activate the pump, tot spray fluid on windshield, no water comes but there is noise from the area of the reservoir.

    Disconnect the hose at your pump and turn your pump on, if you have fluid coming out, reconnect and disconnect the tube at the Y connection going to the nozzles. If you still have no fluid then you have blockage or a leak between the pump and the Y connection. If you have fluid coming out then you have blockage or a leak between the Y connection and your nozzles or clogged nozzles.

    This once happened to me. I had my windshield replaced and when the cowl cover (the part that covers up the washer lines and wiper motor between the windshield and hood) was put back on, the washer hoses got pinched. I removed the cowl cover, rerouted the hoses and now it works fine.

    check the rubber lines to see where they are disconnected from the sprayer to the spray nozzles. If they are not disconnected then you need to find the blockage by blowing air through the lines.

    the small nozzles by the windshield is clogged up. take a thin piece of wire and clean them out and see if you can blow through them.

    the nozzles where the water sprays out are plugged, stick a pin in the nozzles holes to clear them.
